PAINTBALL PLAYERS GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

March 22,2004, Corona, CA - Penalty Box Paintball is pleased to announce it’s upcoming charity event, to be held at S.C. Village in Corona, CA. The event will feature a day of competitive paintball play, and proceeds will go to benefit the San Gabriel/Pomona Valleys Foundation for the Developmentally Disabled. The event will be held on April 17th, between 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. Cost to enter the tournament is $130 dollars per team. The charity competition is comprised of 3-man teams competing with the unique penalty box rules. Entry fee includes free air fills all day.

The Penalty Box Paintball Charity event is one of 4 total planned charity events on a tour that will span across the country. The other three events will be held in West Virginia, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Plans are in the works to expand the tour beyond the introductory four events. Founder of Penalty Box, Sonny Lopez says about the tour, “It’s nice that we can offer a way to help out the less fortunate simply by playing a game that we love to play anyway.”
Paintball is the fastest growing extreme sport in the country, and is emerging as a favorite among the youth culture. Utilizing its mass appeal for the benefit of charity groups is the least the industry can do. Major sponsors of the Penalty Box Charity include: paintball giant WGP (Worr Game Products), Facefull Magazine, Paintball News, PGI, and local paintball shop chain XS SPORTS.

Penalty Box Paintball Charity Tour information can be obtained through their website at www.paintballcharityevents.com.
