Paniq is a label of MAG sport & Design, a Swedish one-man company based
in Stockholm. So what is so special about this particular pack you
ask? Well, here is goes : The pack is designed with user-friendliness
in mind. You can use it in a standard fashion (pots being drawn up) or
just flip it upside-down and have the pots falling down into your hand.
The pots are held in place by loops rather than the usual pouch-design.
This means that you can actually carry any mix of 100- and 150-pots you
desire (or can afford). I only had the oppurtunity to test it with
Indian Springs and Fatboy pots, I have no idea if Viewloader or APP pots
fit. The loops are fastend to a 7mm board for added stability and
the whole pack is made from Cordura Nylon. A standard velcro-closure
belt makes this a one-size-fits-all pack. The packs come in sizes
for 4,5 or 6 pots (no tank) and a 4+1 version is being designed at this
very minute.
I
found this pack to be very compact and comfortable while playing.
The small size means less amount of backpack-hits, a problem known to most
players. The opening of the loops were faster to use than i had expected,
and since i seldom stick my pots back into the pack until after the game,
the pack just got smaller and smaller as i drew more pots from it.
I play on-gun mount and i have some doubt as to the suitability of combining
this pack with a tankpouch. It seems to me that the board just isnt
big enough and this will cause the tankpouch to rattle quite some!
Another problem for players who shoot more than 1100 paintballs/game is
that with more loops the pack will be too wide and pots will end up under
your arms.
All
in all i must say that I liked this pack very much, most notably for its
compactness. MAG sport & Design can be reached via http://www.mag.nu.
