WORLD PAINTBALL FEDERATION INTRODUCES MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM
The WPF offers a membership program to paintball enthusiasts and
players worldwide who want up to date information on everything from tournament
results and WPF World Ace Circuit point standings to technical tips
and manufacturer’s discounts.
Nashville, TN: January 21, 2000 - The World Paintball Federation
/ Lively Productions announced the formation of the WPF Membership Program
today. Open to all paintball enthusiasts as well as competition players,
this program has been designed to track its member’s event participation
and to provide its members with up-to-date information concerning all aspects
of the WPF and its affiliated leagues and tournaments.
The standard cost for WPF membership is $25.00 per player. For this,
members receive a coupon booklet offering over $200.00 in savings
on paintball products, a certified WPF Membership patch, a WPF picture
I.D. card, and a quarterly published newsletter containing the current
WPF points standings, tournament news and results, articles of interest,
game rules and format updates, technical and tactical tips, and special
offers exclusive to WPF members.
Any amateur team may register their complete team ( minimum 5 players
) with the World Paintball Federation for a discount of $5.00 per player,
or a total price of $20.00 per player on your roster. This discount does
not alter in any way the benefits received by a team’s individual players
as full members of the WPF.
The World Paintball Federation is an organization dedicated to the regulation,
promotion, and further evolution of the sport of paintball. Through it’s
membership program, players compete in sanctioned tournaments and share
experiences and ideas that shape the future of the sport. The WPF offers
a circuit of tournaments that annually recognizes outstanding achievement
by awarding the World Ace championship title to the best performing amateur
team.
The WPF goals are to:
* increase participation in the sport
* enhance the player’s competition
experience
* provide uniformity and standardization
for competition
* recognize outstanding performance
